This is the seat of Labour minister Jim Murphy and will be contested by the BNPs lead representative in Scotland Gary Raikes. The Scottish BNP plan to contest all the headline seats. The seat was formally known as eastwood until 2005.

It is going to be a hard sell for Gary and the BNP team, but they have the benefit of having beaten all the other minor parties last time around. But as this result shows this could easily be one of many Labour ministers to lose their seat as Labour came third last year in the european elections.
