BNP BEAT LABOUR IN HARROGATE BY ELECTION RESULT

Tonights result

LibDem 688
Con 246
BNP 92
Lab 73

It might not be the best result in the world for the BNP, but lets consider that the labour vote has dropped from 34% in 2002 down to 14% in 2007 and to 6% last night. Labour on the way down, the BNP fighting against the machine to hold ground and will in the future move upwards.

The previous result in this ward was at the May 2007 election.

Lib Dem 910 (58.5%)
Con 231 (14.9%)
Lab 220 (14.1%)
BNP 194 (12.5%)
turnout 37.7%

  1. Harrogate was always going to be a tough sell for the BNP. We beat Labour and got a third place which is good in most areas, but doing it in Harrogate speaks volumes about the party's mainstream credentials. I find this very encouraging, well done to you all!

  2. theres a lot of work to be done in harrogate by the bnp , i recently met 2 intelligent people there who had never heard of the bnp , theyve been almost untouched by the "joys" of multicultism for a long time (lucky them )although last visit there i saw signs of it creeping in !

  3. I am so glad the liberals won by such a majority. They are the opposite to the BNP?
