UK UNEMPLOYMENT FIGURES

If you listen to all the spin, Labour will be cock a hoop that they are giving 32,000 less people jobseeker allowance. It doesn't mean there is less people out of work it just means they have managed to manipulate the figures.

Unlike in previous generations, a lot of people are eased out of the figures in differing ways. Firstly people made redundant like those from the Redcar steel works will not appear in these figures for at least six months. Then you have the millions of workers who simply can't get a full time job. A 40 hour week with a full time salary is a thing of the past for a lot of people. Lots of people are trying to live off part time money in insecure jobs where they can be got ridden of at a moments notice. Considering the time it takes to get jobseekers allowance they simply don't claim and wait until the next temporary job. But it keeps them off the figures.
