SO WHAT HAVE THE TORIES TO SAY ABOUT THIS UNION SPONSORSHIP?

Anybody reading the papers today or watching PMQs yesterday will notice that the Tories are attacking Labour on yet more duplicity. That the UNITE union which is causing the problems over the BA strike bank rolls Labour. Union leaders (Jack Dromey husband of Harriet Harman, why isnt she Mrs Dromey?) has been parachuted into a safe labour seat, UNITES main spin doctor Charlie Whelan is back in number ten advising Gordon Brown (after having been sacked for leading a vicious smear campaign), and most of the staff and a lot of the MPs themselves are paid for or sponsored by unions.

Of course the response from the Labour party is to shout "Lord Ashcroft" as loud as possible to deflect from what they are doing.

But the BNP has been saying for years that it is wrong that the unions can use third party activists and mostly bordering onto terrorist groups to attack the BNP, and nothing is done to stop it. But because the fire is now being thrown in the Tory direction and Cameron can make a cheap shot out of it, it now seems fair game.

But what about the list below of union sponsored meetings. All in aid of Labours sitting MP, it will not count against her election expenses but it is designed to help her. Will the Tories stand with the BNP and condemn this type of union interference as well?

Unite Against Fascism has called several days of activity against Nick Griffin in Barking.

Trade unions are also backing the action. The next dates in the campaign are:

* Sunday 28 March, 11am-5pm, Barking station – sponsored by the NUT union
* Sunday 11 April – sponsored by the PCS union
* Sunday 25 April – sponsored by the NUT union
