Is this what Gordon meant? When he said "I am not perfect."
His speech on Saturday sounds more and more like the ramblings of a wife beater. Can you can imagine the scene? The wife has suffered more bruising from a beating from the husband, and he says " Please give us a second chance, I am not perfect, take a long hard look at the relationship, you will see it is not all bad."
Then he says "If you leave me for someone else, they will only spend all your wages and not look after you like I did." Then he talks about the good times "I got us this good house and got us out of the gutter(ending child poverty) I sometimes do the washing and cleaning and will do more around the house (raising of equalities)."
The hardest step for anyone in a violent relationship is to move out the house and away from the person causing you harm.
As much as you might love Labour it is time you got yourselves out of the relationship. They will only keep beating you up and then saying sorry after the event.
