CHIPPENHAM

Is a new seat made up of parts of Wiltshire North, Devizes and the former Westbury (now Wiltshire South West)

The new seat is made up of 6 wards the former seat of Westbury, 14 wards from the former seat of Wiltshire North and 4 wards from the former seat of Devizes.

PPC LIST FOR CHIPPENHAM

Michael Simpkins (BNP)
Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones (Conservative)
Nick Thomas-Symonds (Labour)
Duncan Hames (Liberal Democrat)
Julia Reid (UKIP)

Now it is difficult to split down correctly the current level of support for the BNP. In recent elections they have had very good showings in the area. And in the euros for the council area of Wiltshire polled five and half thousand votes. So there is a strong support.

As you can tell this is a strong Tory region but does not mean that the BNP can not make in roads. No one ever plays to lose but it would be a miracle for a BNP win, but with 5,500 people already behind you and a strong euro sceptic area. It could help with Camerons back step on the Lisbon treaty. UKIP have a candidate here but if only they would pool there resources this could easily be a more interesting election fight. But that vote splitter will always allow the Tories back in.
