Charnwood has had a little tinkering by the boundary commission losing three wards, Ratby, Bagworth and Thornton & Markfield, Stanton and Fieldhead to BOSWORTH. Quorn and Mountsorrel Castle to Loughborough.

You will see from the results that the BNP has grown from strength to strength in this region, from 1997 getting 525 votes to 2009 when the BNP gathered ten times as many 5,818. It explains why Cathy Duffy is the first borough Councillor for East Goscote on the Charnwood Council, with this kind of growth we can not just see us over taking the Lib Dems but securing more councillors in the future.
