For the first time in ages we have two by election results to post for 20th October 2011

Eccles By election - Salford

Labour were not taking this ward fro granted and flooded the place with activists on the day to get their vote out. Gun-toting Kay Pollitt stood for the BNP in Eccles. In all fairness this was the first time the party had contested this seat so around 6.5%  given the current state of the party was probably about as much as could be expected.

Shortlands ward by election - Bromley

BNP 35 (1.4%)

No surprises here with the Tories romping home. Not such a good night for the BNP in Bromley though. I am sure even the most sceptical of supporters would not have expected such a derisory vote.

Well done to both candidates for sticking their head above the parapet.
