Has anyone else noticed that the party bigs up certain by-elections where Griffinite sycophants are standing, yet totally ignore others?

How many people outside of Leicestershire realised that the BNP were contesting a county council by election on the 3rd November, not many I bet. It was not mentioned on any official party site. Cathy Duffy did very well under the current circumstances, but that was no doubt helped as this ward takes in the Borough Council ward of East Goscote where she is a very good councillor.

The BNP result was about 4.5% down on the 2009 result which is nothing to the 10% collapse suffered by the Lib Dems. Labour's vote rose by early 16% while the Conservative winners achieved a slightly higher percentage vote than last time out in this ward.

Labour were not taking this ward fro granted and flooded the place with activists on the day to get their vote out. Gun-toting Kay Pollitt stood for the BNP in Eccles. In all fairness this was the first time the party had contested this seat so around 6.5% given the current state of the party was probably about as much as could be expected.

No surprises here with the Tories romping home. Not such a good night for the BNP in Bromley though. I am sure even the most sceptical of supporters would not have expected such a derisory vote.

St Helens Ward, Barnsley By election

2nd place looks good, but the figures tell a different story. 10.5% in a ward where in 2008 the party polled in excess of 30% shows how the party have slipped. Yes, in 2008 there was a very unpopular Tony Blair running the country, but since then you've had a Barnsley Labour MP convicted of fiddling expenses. The English Democrats picked up a respectable result for their first time standing in the ward.

Lower Stoke Ward - Coventry - 6th October 2011

The BNP vote was comparable in percentage terms to when this seat was contested earlier this year, however, the Socialist Alternative vote increased by nearly 4% while the Green vote dropped by 3.3%. With a so-called right wing government it can only be expected that people will vote for parties towards the left. It is of no surprise that the Socialist candidate got a relatively good result in Coventry as they are well established and have had councillors elected in the past, such as former Labour MP, Dave Nellist.

A very low key by-election that did not warrant a mention on the main party site at all, which is surprising given that the BNP scored a fairly respectable 10.29% of the vote, far in excess of recent derisory results. A few years ago the BNP would have had an excellent chance of winning this seat, however, it is no great surprise that the Greens appear to have become the protest vote of choice.

Bush Hill Park, Enfield - by election

The man expected to get the job of London Mayoral candidate and number one position on the GLA elections, Steve Squire, stood in a by-election in Bush Hill Park, Enfield , yesterday.

From all reports the split in the party had not stopped the campaigning, so the result is somewhat of a disappointment given the fine tuning Clive Jefferson has been making to election strategy!

I think we all know the result now. It was going to be a tough ask to retain our deposit given things that have happened over the past 9 months or so and that the smaller parties have been squeezed in almost every by-election held since the general election. I know Derek Adams and the team around him put in a lot of time and hard work into this, and I am sure that their hard work will pay off in future once all the information gathered this time round is input into the new Alfred database for use in future elections.

I do not know what sort of campaigns were run by the party in these constituencies, or what sort of anti-BNP lies were distrubuted, but we have to be honest, these were poor results. I would not expect any great shakes in Poole, but would have expected better than 4.2% in St Helens. Results need to start improving, and quickly. If results like this are witnessed in next years local elections it could spell the end for many disillusioned groups, which I certainly hope is not the case.

Just one result last night worthy of note from Blaby District Council in Leicestershire. Blaby is by far from one of the BNP's better areas in Leicestershire so a 7.9% in a ward where we have little to historical presence is not a bad result given other ressults recently and the continued squeeze on small parties.

This is and always has been a Labour stronghold so getting any knid of a good result here was always going to be difficult. Liverpool has had a tendency in the past when the Tories are in power to swing even further to the left, and this was shown to be the case by the Socialist Labour Party picking up more votes than the BNP for one of the few times in their existence. Those to the right of the mainstream not only had a BNP candidate but also candidates from UKIP and the English Democrats, who were both soundly beaten, even the UKIP candidate who changed his middle names to "Stop mass-immigration"!

No surprises here then with Labour walking off with the two available seats.

Even though the Michael Lane only managed to secure 19 votes in this election, a colleague, Boby Anwar who ws standing in Hyndburn, Baxendale only managed to obtain 17 votes (1.4%), thus making him the worst UKIP candidate of the evening.

On another note the National Front stood a candidate in Wednesbury North and picked up 3.6% of the vote beating both the Lib Dem and the Green candidate. However this is way down on the 12.1% when previously contested by the BNP.

The Big Squeeze Continues

There were a few by-elections yesterday which did not contain any BNP candidates, but are worth looking at regardless. It is amazing that when the country is going to the dogs that the general public still vote for the three main parties that have gotten us into the mess, putting a squeeze on the others who are not to blame for all of this and may well have some answers to the problems (I include the BNP in this naturally).

The English Democrats received 5.4% in Stanwix, Carlisle
UKIP for 37 votes (2.6%) 16 votes less than Cambridge Socilaists in East Chesterton ward for Cambridgeshire County Council.
In Cremone ward, Kensington and Chelsea UKIP picked up 46 votes (3.1%) while in Earls Court ward for the same authority the UKIP candidate picked up just 18 votes (1.1%)

This puts the BNP's recent poor results into some perspective, it is not just us suffering at the hands of the electorate at the moment, it appears to be all of the minor parties.

Two Former Bradford Councillors Jailed In Postal Voting Scam

Five men have been jailed following a postal voting scam intended to secure a seat for a Conservative Party candidate, Haroon Rashid, at the 2005 general election. The men, two of whom are former councillors, filed hundreds of fake postal vote applications in an attempt to ensure Rashid was elected in the marginal Bradford West constituency.

Detectives scrutinised more than 900 suspicious forms as part of their investigation, many in the name of people who did not exist or did not know an application had been made for them.

Former Bradford City Councillors Jamshed Khan, 65, and Reis Khan, 40, along with Mohammed Sultan, 52; and Mohammed Rafiq, 70, all from Bradford, were jailed for 21 months for their roles in the plot.

Another defendant, Alyas Khan, 52, a Conservative Party officer from Bradford, admitted the offence and was jailed for 11 months.

As many as 50 people were involved in the forgery of the applications but many were never identified and others were not brought to court.

The men were able to carry out the scam by using homes occupied by a number of people, controlled by conspirators with communal postal systems, and by using the votes of people "unfamiliar or uninvolved in the British electoral process".

Judge Bartfield, sentencing, said he had reduced the sentences considerably because each man was suffering from serious medical conditions and their cases were severely delayed, with two previous trials being aborted.

If this crime had been committed by BNP activists on behalf of a BNP candidate can you imagine for one minute that this story would not be headline news on the television and front page news in the papers? Can you imagine the sentences being considerably reduced because of medical grounds?

The good news is that Haroon Rashid failed to get elected despite the fraud.

Ukip have now lost another MEP and again its in the West Midlands. Following Nikki Sinclaires departure last year Mike Nattrass has now left the EFD group in the European parliment. He has also now been removed from the main UKIP websites list of MEP's not only is this bad news for UKIP the euro grouping of the EFD must now be concerned that is could be on the brink of collaspe.

A MERTHYR Councillor claims to have been stabbed in the back by UKIP. Adam Brown one of 2 UKIP cllrs on MERTHYR council (both defections from IND) has been kicked out in a row over an unpaid election bill.

This now means UKIP have lost group status on the council and is the 2nd cllr they have lost this month. With moral already at a low after dreadful General Election results the pressure builds on the leadership of UKIP.

UKIP suffer another blow so close to the dreadful General Election results which have hit party moral. Martyn Aiken the General Election candidate for UKIP in Easington who finished in last place well behind BNP candidate Cheryl Dunn, has QUIT the party to stand as an Independent.

The councillor for Foggy Furze was the sole UKIP councillor on the borough council.

It's also worth noting not a single UKIP candidate is standing in the by elections across the country this month. Have UKIP feel asleep again zzzzzzzzzzz

This really is a 2 horse race, do the people of Gorsebrook want 51 Labour councillors or a democracy? Only the BNP can beat labour in this election and if i was a labour supporter i would vote BNP to make the council a democracy. That said its an uphill task and a chance to get back on the board in London but expect the anti campaign to hit hard again.

The previous person working this blog did a job far beyond what i can achieve with the time i have available. So how can we maintain this blog to a standard worthwhile of the work already been put into building it to become a site so many of us visit and enjoy?

It has been a pleasure building this site, it is not something you can do alone. So I would like to thank all the sites and blogs which have linked in, it has made this site first choice for people when they enter search terms on many search engines now.

What I have had to do though is reflect on what is best for yourself opposed to what is best for someone else.

I wish the BNP every luck in the future and a great majority of the people in the party are honest and hard working. I am giving the blog away to another blogger and if he wants to take up the mantle of running the blog then I hope he has every success in the last day alone the blog as had well over ten thousand hits.

It is a great way to get a good and positive message out, with over 500,000 people voting for the BNP we need to fight the media spin and lies. People do want a return to British values and do see what is wrong with the country.

I though can not continue I have to put my family first.

I doubt I will have chance to post much more on this thread as the results are starting to come in. It is good to see the BNP thrashing UKIP. 7 V 1 at the moment. Best vote so far is for Easington a doubling of the vote share... fantastic start and something good to build on.

Margaret Hodge has the abhorrent aptitude to talk about moral values. It is good to hear she is not saying she has definitely won the seat, so Griffin is breathing down her neck it seems.

RUMOURS,RUMOURS,RUMOURS. BNP could have got at least 25% of the vote in Barking.
Green Party is thought to have won Brighton Pavilion a good death nail to the Labour party and help get Brown out.
Postal ballot papers go missing in York, it is disgusting to see what is happening to our electoral system.

The lull before the storm. Votes delayed due to high turnout and then the trouble about being turned away from polling stations could push back the result timetable by at least an hour in places.

It is far to early to do this but just for the crack, if the BNP keep the average up that they got from the first three results they would get over 650,000 votes on the night.

Spin and news at the moment seems to suggest that it is down to Gordon Brown to resign and not for him to be forced out. Gordon Brown may find a way of staying on as Prime Minister even if he loses.
Electoral commission to investigate the problems concerning voters being locked out of polling stations. Not enough people to help with casting the votes is the excuse...

Labour are obviously in trouble but are hanging onto power for grim death, Cheering like banshees when they secured a solid Labour seat.
Also a big problem over polls closing and stopping people from voting, and then issues over people being turned away as they was not on the electoral registers as they hadn't been updated.

BNP 3 V 0 UKIP The vote splitters and phoney Tories have been beaten in the first three counts by the BNP. Unfortunately the last count was the first where the BNP lost it's deposit. Al Beeb doing their usual spin tricks and talking BNP down.

Two counts two deposits saved. Not bad considering the Tories are squeezing the Labour vote. Also having problem with comment moderation due to the high traffic volumes. Each time I go to moderate comment it disappears thanks for your patience.

Al Beeb presenter says that the UK has a THIRD WORLD POLITICAL SYSTEM. After voters not allowed to vote as doors shut at many polling stations keeping people out. It is expected many of the election results to be legally challenged if close.

First result in, good to see that the BNP beat UKIP and that they save their deposit. It does prove though if there hadn't been vote splitting a one nation national party could have put the cat truly amongst the pigeons.

The line of the evening seems to be that Gordon Brown is going to hang on for dear life even if he loses.

3 hours to go and apart from the publicity stunt by UKIP which went wrong but managed to get them repeatedly mentioned on the news and the normal shenanigans by the anti BNP brigade there is nothing else to mention.
Simply waiting for the first exit polls to be released at 10pm. first result expected at 11 ish and then another hour or so wait and then all hell breaks loose. Hoping this will be a night to remember for all the right reasons.

Different media stories seem to be running along the same theme. Only the BNP seems to want its voters and others to vote BNP and is not urging them to vote for others, they have been the only party attacked for doing this as well.

Today Labour ministers have been encouraging labour voters to vote Lib Dem as you will see here.

Last week UKIP actually took adverts out against its own candidates urging voters to vote Tory and the leader of UKIP planned a walkabout with a Tory candidate as you will see here.

Yet BNP candidates were attacked for saying why they will be voting BNP as you will see here.

When you vote BNP you will get BNP we will never ask you to vote for someone else. Come election day and if you are unlucky enough to not have a candidate on your ballot paper why not write BNP on the slip and put a cross next to that. Then next time why not set up a group yourself and next time you could help a BNP candidate be in your area.

BNP ELECTION RESULTS ELECTION NIGHT BLOGGING

It is expected to be an eventful evening and you can come to this blog and find all the BNP results reported as quickly as I can. I am only human and there is only me to input the information so will do my best. But be aware there is 338 BNP candidates to report on and so if I took a minute to report on each one it would take nearly 6 hours non stop.

I have a full time job and so I could only get the holidays off by working right up to the election day. So it may go quiet on the blog up until Polling day, comments will be authorised as and when.

I will be online from 10pm on election day and hope to be here until the last result is in for the BNP but be aware there are some counts on the Friday so some results won't be in until mid day at the earliest. Counts such as Barking and Stoke Central are not predicted to be announced until 4am approx. If it is a close affair you can also expect many recounts and so this could delay the results until later.

The plan of action is to have one thread which will be updated through out the night. A separate blog is set up to show the exact result for each constituency. There will be a score board on the right hand side which will breakdown the results into various categories. Also a score will be kept of total votes collected, how many UKIP and other parties candidates the BNP candidates have beaten. There will be a link to two leader boards. One will list BNP results by the amount of votes cast, the other board will list candidates by percentage of the vote secured as some areas have more voters than others.

I hope you can keep me company on the night and watch what will hopefully be an historic night for the BNP.

Today I was checking to see if there had been any effect from bigot gate and there hadn't been much movement in the usual betting such as BNP chance to win a seat 3/1 and votes cast. But then when I looked at constituency betting the price for the BNP to win Bishop Auckland has crashed. You can only get 16/1 at paddypower and 33/1 at Ladbrokes. Any reason for this?

As you will see from this Al Beeb news report. Lord Pearson leader of UKIP had planned to do a walkabout not with any of the UKIP candidates but with a Tory candidate in Kent. The event itself has been cancelled in case it is misinterpreted.

It has been revealed that all Dover's 24 immigration officer posts will be slashed – despite the team being responsible for almost 40 per cent of all removals in Kent last year. In a bitter second blow, proposals are also being made to shut down the 60-bed detention centre based at the port. The facility is used to detain offenders before deportation and to hold immigrants awaiting interview.

Furious UKBA officers have launched a campaign against the cuts, which will save the agency more than £1 million a year. Under the proposal, two chief immigration officers will also be chopped, taking the number to five, and assistant officers will decrease from 23 to 21. Further cuts in Folkestone take the job losses to 30.

Sue Kendal, branch secretary of the Public and Commercial Services Union, slammed the decision: "Dover is losing its entire immigration officer team and we are in danger of reverting to the bad old days of mass influxes. We risk leaving the door open for a free-for-all, including people who want to harm the UK.

"The Government talks tough but in reality it is cutting front-line officers." Mrs Kendal said relying on assistant officers was a mistake: "Immigration officers do what we call 'challenging interviews', meaning they can challenge the answers given. "This is a crucial stage but soon it will have gone.

"Assistant immigration officers have far less powers and can't do this, but of course they're much cheaper to employ. They also won't be operating for 24-hours-a-day anymore. "Kent is the UK's frontline for immigration but some posts are being moved to Croydon, which is hardly a hotbed of illegal entry activity."

A spokesman for UKBA said: "We are currently consulting with both unions and staff over the planned restructure of our Kent immigration team. "As a result of the restructure, it is anticipated there will be fewer full-time equivalent positions in Kent, with some of these positions transferring to Sussex.

"It is not proposed the restructure will result in compulsory job losses." All remaining staff will have to reapply for their jobs. UKBA workers are planning to distribute leaflets, circulate a petition around Dover and Folkestone town centres, and hold a demonstration.

THE CRIMINAL ACT

Yesterday Straw fed 700 constituents with curry, nan, dessert, tea and coffee at Jan's Conference Centre at an election rally in Blackburn .

Every political candidate and agent knows that this is illegal. It is a specific criminal offence known as "Treating". It carries a jail sentence and disqualification for the candidate.

HOW THE POLICE HELPED

The extraordinary thing was that, not only was the criminal offence carried out in an open and blatant manner, but this criminal offence was actually aided and abetted by the police. Jack Straw arrived not only with his close protection officers but with escorting police officers who actually guarded the criminal act.

HOW THE ELECTION OFFICER TREATS OTHERS

It is worth noting that an independent candidate, Bushra Irfan, was reported to the police by the returning officer for an internet page that suggested that food would be given at a meeting. Irfan's campaign apologised and removed the offending page; no food was given. However Jack Straw was able to actually give out seven hundred meals under the noses of the police, with not a word said by the Returning Officer, who by law should now disqualify him. A criminal trial should follow.

This article in the Guardian tells of how the Labour candidate for Bristol East Kerry McCarthy has twittered the early postal vote numbers.

Police are investigating a possible breach of electoral law after Labour's new media tsar, Kerry McCarthy, revealed postal vote figures on Twitter.

McCarthy, who is defending her Bristol East seat, could face six months in prison or a £5,000 fine after posting the results of some 300 votes to her 5,700 followers.

The Labour MP said she was "kicking herself" over the post, which has now been deleted. Her tweet said: "First PVs opened in east Bristol, our sample: UKIP **; TUSC**; BNP ** Lib Dem **; Tory **; Labour **. £gameON!"

I can't quote the numbers but as the Guardian has repeated the positions I can tell you that the BNP is in 4th place in Bristol East at the moment beating UKIP.

It is illegal to reveal the votes cast before the end of polling day as this may influence the outcome of the election.

An Electoral Commission spokeswoman said candidates who see the front of a ballot paper "must maintain the secrecy of voting".

Publishing the details of a count can lead to a fine or a prison sentence of up to six months, according to section 66A of the Representation of the People Act.

Bristol city council said the incident was an alleged breach of the act and was a "criminal matter".

McCarthy said: "I was pretty silly to do it; it was just thoughtless, I was being over-exuberant."

It certainly looks like she has broken the law and it should carry a prison sentence but will she squirm her way out of it?

Gordon Brown was confronted by a labour voting woman in Rochdale and after the confrontation she was still going to vote Labour.

Gordon Brown has been caught on microphone describing a voter he had just spoken to in Rochdale as a "bigoted woman".

The 65-year-old woman had challenged Mr Brown on a number of issues including immigration, crime and the economy during the exchange.

As he got into his car, he was still wearing a broadcast microphone and was heard to say "that was a disaster".

It comes after Labour vowed for him to meet more ordinary voters.

The comments were made as he got into his car after speaking to Gillian Duffy, not realising that he had a Sky News microphone pinned to his shirt.

He told an aide: "That was a disaster - they should never have put me with that woman. Whose idea was that? It's just ridiculous..."

Asked what she had said, he replied: "Everything, she was just a bigoted woman."

Mrs Duffy, a widow, said: "I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet but if that's what he said I'm very upset. I'm very annoyed."

It is distributed by an organisation which has strong links with Labour and is funded by the Unions. For a long time the BNP has been saying that UKIP is just a Tory front party established to split anti euro votes and to detract attention and votes away from the BNP.

Earlier this year in a Telford by election the party stood a candidate under an ineligible party name "BRITAIN FIRST UK Independence Party" when on the very same day in the same council elections but in a ward where the BNP was not standing the candidate stood under the UKIP only name.

Hence the indecision portrayed in the opinion-polls (insofar as they are at all reliable) and the distinct possibility of an outcome featuring fragile alliances between parties of the incumbent pro-EU cartel.

The BBC et al. are also attempting to portray a small, unelectable, fascist party as the only alternative to this cartel, hoping that many will not notice UKIP, the Party, which came second in the nation-wide election, last June, and which I heartily recommend to you, as the only party dedicated to restoring the sovereignty of the electorate, to governing the United Kingdom in her own interests, to nurturing her self-respect and to linking her with the British Commonwealth, continental Europe, the USA and elsewhere, as a fair, vigorous and independent trading-partner.

Anti BNP protesters are gathering outside various BBC buildings because the station will be airing the BNP political broadcast 5.55pm on BBC2 and 6.55pm on BBC1.

Thanks for the free advertising, as they start protesting it just informs the public what is happening today. If they had stayed at home or god forbid gone to work then the general public would be none the wiser probably that their was even a BNP political broadcast today.

Hopefully they won't act like the real Nazis which they are click here to see the real Nazis in action.

Of course they also congregated against democracy when Nick Griffin appeared on Question Time. The main BBC building had to be put in lock down because of threats of violence and destruction from the protesters.

THE ORIGINS OF SEARCHLIGHT

Ever wondered why the UAF THUGS and ANTI BNPERS flicker like moths round the flame of Searchlight. Where did the name come from ?

Maybe it has something to do with OPERATION SEARCHLIGHT This was a military operation by Pakistan on the Bengals who seek autonomy in their own homeland.

After the Bengals won 167 seats out of 300 in the election they expected a swift movement of power to their own assembly so they could rule themselves and effectively annex themselves from Pakistan.

Pakistan had other ideas and after operation Blitz decided on Operation Searchlight in which they decided to ELIMINATE all opposition whether it be political or military.

The main reason for the attack was that Pakistan did not want to lose face or power. They had lost the election and so the Generals decided to attack and take control of the region by force, even though there had been no military action by the Bengals. Anyone not willing to kill civilians as well were relieved of their duties.

THE SEVEN POINT PLAN OF THE OPERATION

1. Operation to be launched simultaneously all across East Pakistan.
2. Maximum number of political and student leaders, and those among cultural organizations and teaching staff to be arrested.
3. Operation must achieve 100% success in Dhaka. Dhaka University would be occupied and searched.
4. Free and greater use of fire authorised for securing cantonments.
5. All internal and international communications to be cut off, including telephone, television, radio and telegraph.
6. All East Pakistani (Bengali) troops to be neutralised by seizing weapons and ammunition.
7. To deceive the Awami League, President Yahia Khan to pretend to continue dialogue, even if Mr. Bhutto disagrees, and to agree to Awami League demands.

Pakistani planners assumed that if the political leadership was captured, the Bengali armed units disarmed, and the civilians sufficiently terrorized, after a month no organized resistance would remain in East Pakistan. Their assumptions were proven wrong in the long run. The political leadership escaped to organize the resistance and lobby for international support, Bengali soldiers formed the core of the armed resistance, and civilians, despite the terror campaign, supported the insurgency with logistics, intelligence and volunteers for the irregular warfare.

Much like the government and UAF THUGS and searchlighters do now. They believe by attacking the BNP and sufficiently terrorizing the civilians they can get Britain to do what ever they want.

It failed then and it will fail now. Funny how the other BNP in the world is the Bangladesh National Party

Does history repeat itself lets hope we won't all get rounded up in a civil coup simply because the BNP wins a seat in parliament.

Last year Nick Griffin & Andrew Brons tried to hold a press conference after being elected as MEPs for the North West of England & Yorkshire & Humber respectively.

Of course UAF thugs had different ideas. They attacked Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons in broad daylight in front of the press. They came armed with not only eggs but substantial planks of wood, passing them off as placards and used to hit people and vehicles with.

A tourist was injured in the melee, and do you want to guess how many people were arrested or even cautioned? NONE.

VOTE BNP AND PUT A FULL STOP TO THIS

I posted yesterday that Labour could come third in the share of the vote in the General Election but have the highest number of seats. This really does need to be addressed we need to return some sort of value to the peoples vote in this country. People are no longer voting for the person standing in their constituency but they join the masses who are rolling along with the crowds as they watch the C list political celebs on the news.

A Labour MP was out canvassing yesterday and whilst talking with a voter was told " I would vote for you but I don't like Gordon Brown." It shows the detachment from what a MP is supposedly doing for his/her constituents and that by them winning the seat it effectively gives credence to a person no one wants such as Gordon Brown.

Of course none of the major parties want any form of PR because they can win power at present with so little numbers. If there is a low turnout of 68% or less and they get 35% of that turnout they can be the largest party by effectively having less than a fifth of the publics support. That means 4 out of 5 people could have opposed and not voted for the eventual winner.

Of course Proportional Representation is no walk in the park. There is so many differing types and you need a maths degree to work some of them out. That to stick with the method of "You have most votes you win" is the easiest option. Labour have exploited the first past the post system by ensuring that their core vote has so many seats to return.

If we use the european voting method you are left with areas like the North East which has 3 seats and you would have needed 17.7% share of the vote to gain a seat where as in the North West which has more seats to share out you could gain a seat with 8.1% of the vote.

A parliament which is made up of MPs from a proportional representation method would probably always be a coalition as no one would ever get to 50% of the vote. Even Thatcher or Blair in their hey day never got 50% shares of the vote. Maybe compromise is what we want? Maybe we need a complete change?

The BNP would benefit greatly from PR in the General Election in 2005 the BNP gained 0.7% share of the whole of the UK vote they would have got 5 MPs. If that had been reflected by the European vote share of 6.2% where everyone had a chance to vote for the BNP then that would have returned 40 MPs. Over 940,000 people voted for the BNP when everyone was given a chance to do so. In this General Election because of the way the election is drawn up you can expect 600,000 to 700,000 votes this is not a drop in support it is purely down to the logistics and expense of trying to fight every single seat.

Will they ever bring in PR?

I doubt it, because they have too much to lose. The main three parties would never have control of parliament just to themselves ever again. Would it be good for democracy? It would be good in the sense that every voter would be able to vote for the party they wanted and not have to use their vote in protest to keep one party out or feel if they vote for the party of their choice they have no chance of being represented simply because of the postcode you are in means you are outnumbered by other voters.

If they do ever fly up an idea of PR you can be sure as eggs are eggs they would have worked out how it would be good for them and increase if not stabilise the power base of the main three parties.

How I would I like it to be?

I think we should utilise councillors more. If you want to have folks to represent your community have them voted in at council level and they are not to run under any party banner. This way you wouldn't have labour/tory/lib dem/BNP councils. You would have people running the council for the good of the community. Services run themselves and for them to implement what local communities wanted. Even putting to regular votes what people wanted money to be spent on. Like you get in America where they vote on what laws should be passed or what schemes should be implemented.

On a national level it should be a list of candidates as you have for the euro elections and then select the number of candidates from each party by the percentage share of the vote. Also cut the number of MPS down as low as 200. With the councils having more powers and decisions being made by the people themselves you have untied the politicians from having to look after the seat but for them to work on a national level.

Then finally have the prime minister elected from a national vote much like you have in France vote one week from a list of everyone who wants to do the job and then 2nd week a vote off from between the top 2 from the previous week.

It is not perfect and I am sure whatever method we chose someone would try to manipulate it. But we do need to stop the total injustice of what we have now where less than 20% of the people can choose who governs this country and where a million voters have no voice or representation at all.

The BNP has always had to do the impossible with very few resources. But how about nicking the headlines just before the Election day itself?

Now this is just me thinking out loud. It is not some anti fascists wet dream Nick Griffin has no intention to stand down (for what I know at the moment) But there will come a time when he will have to pass the baton onto someone else.

Why not on the morning of May the 4th issue a press statement where he announces that he will be standing down as leader of the BNP to concentrate on parliamentary duties if he wins the seat of Barking or leading the European BNP group whilst giving any support necessary to the new BNP leader which would be elected in the summer if he doesn't.

It would steal the headlines just before the media have to go quiet. It would also allow the BNP to concentrate on how the BNP has grown under Nick Griffin. with over 50 councillors and 1 assembly member and 2 MEPs and now standing a record number of General Election candidates assuring the BNP will get their highest number of votes in a General Election.

A chance to focus on the good record of the BNP and how the BNP has grown (I am sure the media would try to twist it of course). It also allows the BNP to move even further forward. Nick Griffin has admitted himself that he will always only be able to move the BNP so far forward it would need someone else to break the glass ceiling as the media are always allowed to profit from his past.

My personal opinion is that the workload needs to be spread out amongst a team of high ranking members with a specific role to each. So we had an economic, home and education spokes people. I also believe it would be time for a woman to take the helm of the party. Not that we should air lift one in, it should be done on merit. But I believe with a woman as leader it would deflect a lot of the fascist/Nazi rubbish.

* Laws to separate High Street banks from the investment banking sector and opposition to privatisation of "natural monopolies" such as Royal Mail
* Investigate viability of voluntary local currencies and support national network of autonomous local credit unions

ON EUROPE, CRIME AND IMMIGRATION

* Halt immigration - in particular from Muslim countries - and deport illegal immigrants. Allow legally settled and law-abiding minorities to remain but review citizenship grants awarded since 1997

* Deport foreigners convicted of crimes in Britain, regardless of immigration status, ban the burka and building of mosques. Deport radical Islamist preachers
* Increase UK Border Agency funding, withdraw from EU, repeal Race Relations Act and scrap Equalities and Human Rights Commission. Scrap ID cards
* Review the Police and Criminal Evidence Act to remove unnecessary bureaucracy from police duties
* Reintroduce capital punishment for drug dealers, child murderers, multiple murderers, murderers of policemen on duty and terrorists
* Reintroduce right of householders to defend themselves and their property, "using whatever means they deem necessary"
* Establish penal station for "extremely dangerous/violent repeat criminals", including rapists, on the British island of South Georgia

ON SCHOOLS AND FAMILIES

* "British concepts" of civility and courteousness to be taught in schools, along with British history and English, Irish, Scots and Welsh culture and traditions

* Reverse budget cuts on education and bring back "traditional syllabi and teaching methods", along with streaming and grammar schools
* Bring back academic and sporting competition at all levels of education
* Free university education to students who have completed community service
* Rebuild Britain's skills base through subsidies to engineering and science institutions and their students

ON HEALTH

* Reallocate money designated for foreign aid to increase spending on frontline staff, while reducing bureaucracy and restricting managers' pay to £100,000 per year
* Prioritise employment of people at affordable wages, halt recruitment of Third World-origin staff and end "health tourism" in UK
* Cut waiting times and service difficulties by relieving immigration burden upon the NHS

ON WELFARE AND PERSONAL FINANCE

* Halt payment of benefits, and provision of housing, education and pensions to foreigners "who have not paid into the system"
* Education and training to help unemployed back into work - in return for set number of hours work per week
* Those out of work for 18 months or more to participate in local work schemes in return for benefits
* Aim to increase state pension to £150 per week during the parliament, link to earnings and restrict to Britons and those who have "fully paid into the system"
* Reduce annual allowance for tax relief on pension contributions to £75,000
* Convene national conference of employers and workers' representatives to resolve public sector pension difficulties, raising the age of retirement to 68 over "a period of years"

ON POLITICAL REFORM

* Devolve all powers properly capable of exercise to local level, reviving county council government
* Create an English parliament, alongside a pan-British parliament to oversee policy areas currently determined by Westminster - inviting the Irish Republic to join as an equal partner
* Reform the House of Lords to include non-party political experts and individuals chosen for talent and service
* Introduce "citizens' initiative" referendums to force government to adhere to the will of voters on specific subjects
* Bill of Rights guaranteeing basic civil liberties, repeal 1998 Human Rights Act and withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights
* Restrict use of postal voting to those incapable of getting to polling stations

IN OTHER AREAS

* End involvement of British troops in the Afghanistan conflict, withdraw forces form Germany and stop Britain becoming involved in war with Iran
* Renegotiate UK presence in NATO, raise defence spending by 1% over the rate of inflation for five years
* Ensure National Lottery funding spent on projects enhancing British culture. Introduce formal bank holidays marking patron saints days of all UK nations
* Tax concessions for pubs, lower alcohol tax and supervised smoking rooms in pubs
* Laws to hold journalists and media outlets criminally liable for knowingly publishing falsehoods and media complaints body with power to grant right of reply with equal prominence to defamed people
* Reverse privatisation of railways, invest in 200mph magnetic levitation inter-city rail network
* Reduce fuel prices through tax policy, charge foreign trucks for the right to use Britain's road network
* Develop alternative farming British subsidies to those of the EU, ban genetically modified produce, encourage regeneration of family farms and introduce 200-mile coastal fishing exclusivity zone
* Place local councils under a legal duty to build a number of homes set to a percentage of the waiting list total each year, with "local connection tests" for housing applicants
* Protectionist policy for the local IT industry, nationalise telecoms infrastructure to enable creation of UK-wide not-for-profit 100Mbps broadband service across the country

If you read this blog you will have seen this post about how UKIP changed their name to BRITAIN FIRST UK INDEPENDENCE PARTY.

I then emailed the returning officer here and you will see the pitiful excuse of how UKIP had brought a scrap of paper saying that was their new name. It was not registered with the electoral commission as it should be. The returning officer stood behind the knowledge to overturn anything you would have to spend thousands through the courts. But it was clear for everyone to see what the rules were and how he hadn't followed them.

In Wales three of the candidates have been duped by the returning officer as they wanted to be known as BNP "Support Our Troops - Bring Them Home" . but the returning officer only put "Support Our Troops - Bring Them Home" .

A trick which will of course back fire. But if you read the media they are now all screaming like banshees that the BNP is tricking the voters.

How?

There is no confusion over the name it is not the same as any other party and not meant to confuse, it is a name registered by the BNP unlike UKIP who simply changed their name to include Britain because they was standing against a BNP candidate and UKIP did want to dupe voters. A candidate in the next ward in an election on the same day was standing as UKIP. Yet no one said anything about that and not one reporter I emailed replied.

So stop the piffle, BNP have the name registered because they are the only party which wants to bring our troops home.

The GDP growth for the UK is 0.2% so the UK barely moved but as you would have seen yesterday the real growth is the national debt of £890 BILLION.

But the spin machine is already out and working on Al Beeb it was all down to the bad weather in January and this is why we didn't see better figures.

Nothing to do with the flip flopping of VAT as it rose to 17.5%...

Nothing to do with petrol prices reaching record levels...

Nothing to do with inflation going up by 18% from 3.7% to 4.4%...

No!!! you blame it on the weatherman.

I suspect those who would see this country down are already rubbishing the fact of the BNP have any association with a patron saint who by all accounts actually never came from England let alone stepped foot on British soil.

About St George

Saint George is popularly identified with England and English ideals of honour, bravery and gallantry, but actually he wasn’t English at all. Very little is known about the man who became St George.

St. George is believed to have been born in Cappadocia (now Eastern Turkey) in the year A.D. 270. He was a Christian. At the age of seventeen he joined the Roman army and soon became renowned for his bravery. He served under a pagan Emperor but never forgot his Christian faith. much like the BNP serve in this country but never forget they are BRITISH!!!

When the pagan Emperor Diocletian started persecuting Christians, St. George pleaded with the Emperor to spare their lives. However, St. George's pleas fell on deaf ears and it is thought that the Emperor Diocletian tried to make St. George deny his faith in Christ, by torturing him. St George showed incredible courage and faith and was finally beheaded near Lydda in Palestine on 23 April, 303. Again, much like now. The BNP are trying to open the minds of the British people to how this country is being destroyed but it is falling on deaf ears. You may well see many people lost before you get the final victory.

In 1222, the Council of Oxford declared April 23 to be St George’s Day and he replaced Edward the Confessor as England’s patron saint in the 14th century. In 1415, April 23 was made a national feast day.And it needs to be made a BANK HOLIDAY once again!!!

St George is patron saint not only of England but also of Aragon, Catalonia, England, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, Lithuania, Palestine, Portugal, and Russia, as well as the cities of Amersfoort, Beirut, Bteghrine, Cáceres, Ferrara, Freiburg, Genoa, Ljubljana, Gozo, Pomorie, Qormi, Lod and Moscow. Oh what fun the ANTI BNP will have when they see that England has the same patron Saint as Ethiopia...

St George is also patron saint of scouts, soldiers, archers, cavalry and chivalry, farmers and field workers, riders and saddlers, and he helps those suffering from leprosy, plague and syphilis.
